The Garden

The Public Market has plenty of plants grown locally by skilled and knowledgeable gardeners so you can be sure your purchase is of the highest quality and well suited for your climate. As the weather warms up you are sure to see flowers both cut and potted, as well as the first vegetables and produce of the year.  Come is and see why so many locals come back year after year for our lovely array of garden delights!

Fresh Flowers Are In!

Picture
Thirza Krohn brought in gorgeous geraniums today! Her sister, Ruth Strong loaded the table with cucumber seedlings, cauliflower starts, astilbe, dahlia, peonies, and hostas! We're a family operation, for sure :) Daffodils are fabulous- we have hundreds of them fresh from the Satsop Bulb farm, and the tulips will be here Friday afternoon. Oh, did I mention the Maidenhair ferns??? The most delicate and astonishingly beautiful fern on the planet! And they love cool, moist weather and shade. perfect!

Being overrun by plant pots????  recycle them!!!

The Grays Harbor Public Market is going green by accepting used plant containers. Empty plant pots-the kind that come with store bought plants and are usually thrown away- are being accepted at the Public Market. Just bring your used pots to the market and drop them off to be recycled by our market gardeners! If no one is there, just leave them out front. The market is open 9am to 6pm Wednesday to Saturday!
